Situated within 5 minutes' walk of the 4-star The Highlander Amsterdam Hotel, guests can reach Multatuli Museum in no time. This Amsterdam hotel features safety facilities including a safe deposit box and 24-hour security service.

Notable for its location, 2.1 km from the Dutch art Van Gogh Museum in Jordaan, which is home to many art galleries, speciality shops and restaurants, the hotel is in close proximity to the 15th-century New Church. The Highlander Amsterdam is also nearly 25 minutes' walk from such natural sights as the private Vondelpark. Guests might as well visit Rijpenhofje, which is just 1.1 km away. The Dutch national Rijksmuseum is about a 10-minute ride away, and Amsterdam Centraal train station is situated a short way from the accommodation. The Highlander Amsterdam Hotel is a mere 100 metres from Nieuwezijds Kolk bus stop and a mere 600 metres from Rokin tube station.

Furnished with a sofa bed, some of the 30 rooms feature central heating and ironing equipment along with a DVD player. These spacious rooms comprise a dining area and a mini-kitchen. Guests have access to a walk-in shower and a separate toilet, as well as bathroom comforts such as hair dryers and bath sheets. Some rooms also look over the garden. The venue's staff and location were excellent! Large bedroom. Set just next door to Amsterdam, various transport links in the very pleasant area.

Totally very very good experience. Unbeatable location, beautiful room, exceptional staff, I loved it. The place was close to Amsterdam downtown.

Sadly, there was no assistance.

This hotel was great value for money as opposed to other options. The location was cool, staff was unobtrusive. Rooms were warm and light, with soundproofed windows. The staff did all they can for an awesome stay. The service was polite and the food was different.

Silent and clean hotel, cozy location. It was nice to have tasteful hardboiled eggs, slices of fresh bread, cheese, sausages and pancakes in the morning. Hassle-free check in & the service was nice.

A such wonderful stay and good value for price. The staff were highly professional, the room was surprisingly big and I loved favorable location. Super beds, terrace, coffee and microwave were a nice touch. The selection of perfect breads, scrambled eggs, pancakes, hot waffles and sausages was a bonus. Pool with the mountain view was good👌

Shame the bathroom was too small.

The breakfast was good, as always. Some of our favorite spots such as tropenmuseum were adjacent to the hotel. Nothing beats being in citadel. It's worth staying here and exploring Amsterdam City Center district.

The hotel's setting was right by such tourist attractions as rembrandtplein. We loved the fact that we chose citadel.
